Agreeing that the opportunity to participate in Union Arena Community Center Adult Hockey League is a privilege, this Code of Conduct is presented to all adult hockey participants. It is intended to be a clear set of expectations & rules of behaviors for all. I understand and agree:
1. Union Arena Community Center is on the grounds of Woodstock Union Middle and High Schools and as such is subject to all rules and policies of that school
2. To respect the integrity, safety & dignity of others & their property.
3. To follow the ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct & fair play.
4. To respect the integrity & judgment of the game officials.
5. To remember that the athletic contest is only a game, not a matter of life or death for the athlete, the coach, the team, the spectator or the community.
6. No swearing or abusive language on the bench or on the rink
7. No lashing out at any official no matter what the call is. Your Captain will handle all matters as it pertains to officiating at the end of the period in question
8. Anyone receiving a penalty will skate directly to the box
9. Fighting will not be tolerated. UACC has a strict “Zero Tolerance Policy” with regard to fighting which will result in a minimum 1 game suspension.
10. Union Arena Community Center has a strict “Zero Tolerance Policy” with regard to alcohol, smoking, chewing tobacco or use of illegal substances while in Union Arena Community Center or on the grounds of Woodstock Union Middle and High Schools.
11. I will conduct myself in a befitting manner at all UACC games / functions
12. Any player or team official who cannot abide by these rules or violates them will be subject to further disciplinary action.
ALCOHOL IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN ON THE PREMISES OF UNION ARENA COMMUNITY CENTER & SCHOOL PROPERTY.
