• Union Arena Community Center is a multi-purpose facility. The ice rink operates from October through mid-March and in 24 hours transforms to a combination field house and event center.

• Arena opened in November 2003

• It is located on the grounds of Woodstock Union High School, just 1.5 miles west of the scenic village of Woodstock on Route 4.

• Main Arena floor features 17,000 square feet of usable space. Total building is approximately 28,000 square feet.

• Capacity is 2,100 people (non-ice)

Bleachers have seating for 250 plus 125 standing

Arena can comfortably accomodate 500 for floor or ice based events.

• 4 Team Rooms   
• Rooms 1 & 2 are 26' x 16' with toilet and shower facilities
• Rooms 3 & 4 measure 12" x 24" with toilet and shower facilities

• Fully wired with voice, data and CATV ports throughout building

• Two remote hook-ups for electrical sub-panels in the Arena

• Arena features acoustical decking on the ceiling and 16" of insulation between the ceiling and roof. Entire building is insulated.

• During the ice season, the Arena is heated to a comfortable 45 degrees

• Arena features a state-of-the-art Peavey sound system and a large seven speaker console suspended from the center of the Arena

• When ice comes out, the concrete slab is covered with Sport Court, which is a system of one foot interlocking tiles that provide increased comfort and traction, improved acoustics and a brighter more aesthetically pleasing environment. Floor can withstand all uses and the one foot grids allow for quick set-up for events.

• Oversized garage doors at the rear of Arena allows trucks to off-load right onto floor.

• Arena has small forklift onsite (lift capacity is 750 pounds)

• Spacious and clean public restrooms are easily accessible in the Lobby.

• Ample parking is available immediately in front of Arena. Arena management also has a strong relationship with the school allowing shared use of school facilities as schedules allow.
